A great book crossed my eyes a while ago, oddly enough introduced to me by my enemies at COPE or Coalition Of Progressive Electors (COPENPAGREENMARIJANEDANCEVCATeamVIPETC) on an illegally placed sign where M(r)s. Klein and "No Logo (2000)" was exploited on a regular basis to further their own Label and Logo’s fund raiser and push an agenda contrary to the "revolutionary book" and when I say revolutionary I mean heavily misunderstood, usually read via highlighted excerpts by politicians and taken out of context in order to further foolish and extreme positions. I read the book, in it’s full context, as I did "A Republic Not An Empire, Patrick J. Buchanan (1999)" and the Bible and noticed something I hate more than anything, which is easy since I hate very few things, well if I actually hate trend, and don’t prattle in hyperbole, anyway I this trend is the trend of taking things out of context. The whole context of not buying no name brands, which in some cases are better or even a Certified Data or New Balance brand because it isn’t hyped like Nike and Apple products, almost as if they are protesting too much; even being Vegan because “it’s what’s your ‘friends’ are doing” or voting for the one of two or three (declared separate) parties because that is what you think you are expected to do, ignoring independents or credible alternatives of other parties...this is what the book was about. Being a slave to labels and logos, COPE is a label for god sakes. I was fucked over in the election because I didn’t cary that weight. Even my mother had a Reform Party Logo and that didn’t do as proportionately as bad as I did publically. I do dispute the election results as misinformation. As for media coverage, non-stop (200 or so) press releases accompanied by funding the advertising coffers a little in the Vancouver Courier and even providing them with publicity gave me an edge there. On any account the courier is also part of the No Logo bias, the local paper; there tended to be more integrity because they got less attention, boy did that change when more people were exposed as reading them. I myself totted them as important sources; I thought even competition until I noticed News Paper Organisations, Unions and even Networks, but the moment interests like mine took a turn towards it BOOM!!! the policing started. The Globe And Mail is a wonderful paper, I think it’s brave of them to thumb their nose at the NSA crowd, including our own CSIS and CPE, I also must congratulate the Vancouver Courier for putting up some sort of fight, I even presented an award to them; even know there’s was the best of the worst election coverage. What I hate the most about all this though, is I provide free research and they wasted it, now that’s sad; I feel like a slave to an unproductive machine. On any account, No Logo became a band wagon jump for those who wanted to be "cool rebels," much like the Terminal City crowd, and turned Klein into a Maharishi of anti-capitalism and yet not anti-stock marketeering, and the pawn and pimped out bitch of the Authoritarian wealth distributors who don’t want slavery to end, just to equalise slavery and wealth according to rank. To put an end to the system that would allow a book like that to be published and keep it from being burned. To punish free thought if it had anything to do with thoughts of Liberty and Freedom for all, even Authoritarians that other Authoritarians don’t like and compete with for supremacy over their own species.
